We are located in North Central Florida, within Citrus County, directly between the towns of Crystal River and Dunnellon. We are a short drive to the Crystal River, Kings Bay, Homosassa River, Withlacoochee River, Rainbow River, as well as the towns of Beverly Hills, Cedar Key, Citrus Springs, Hernando, Homosassa, Inglis, Inverness, Lecanto, Ocala, Wildwood, Yankeetown, and within easy reach to Levy, Marion, and Sumter Counties. You can enjoy this beautiful area by boating, fishing, diving, snorkeling, or just sitting by our beautiful rivers. You can ride bikes, hike, or skate along the trails and paths within Citrus County and adjoining Counties. If you ride a motorcycle, there are miles of beautiful roads throughout this area. Like to shop? The Crystal River Mall is five miles away, other shopping and restaurants are also nearby; there are many many Flea Markets to choose from and we have a brand new SuperWalmart in Dunnellon, with another (bigger) one just a short drive to West Ocala. An easy ride on country roads to Ocala has more malls, shopping and any restaurant chain you can think of. The closest hospital is five miles away, with many other hospitals less than thirty country miles from here. If you belong to a group and are looking for a great place for a rally, check out Quail Roost RV Campground between April and October. This is our slow season and we can provide ample sites for your group at extreme bargain rates. Do you love the campground life but your rig is just too confining? Maybe its time to consider a park model trailer. We have a gorgeous park model section that will accommodate park models up to 500 square feet. Please see our section on Park Models. Quail Roost RV Campground has 72 full hookup sites on ten beautiful acres. Our main roads are paved; our sites average 32 to 40 wide and can comfortably accommodate any size rig with 30/50 amp service. We have both open and wooded sites available. Vehicle Type Definitions Class A The Class A motorhome, also commonly referred to as the conventional motorhome, is the largest, most luxurious of the motorized RVs. This motorhome is a virtual"home away from home" on wheels that is fully loaded and equipped for short trips, lengthy vacations or even full-timing. The Class A is entirely constructed on a bare, specially designed motor vehicle chassis. Average length: 21 to 40 feet. Average Price: $81,400. Price Range: Prices vary greatly from as low as $48,000 to over $300,000. Class B Also commonly referred to as the van camper, the Class B Motorhome is a panel-truck that has been customized to include temporary sleeping, eating and bathroom facilities. Size: 16 to 21 feet. Average Price: $43,600. Price Range: from $33,000 to $65,000. Class C The Class C motorhome, sometimes referred to as a mini-motorhome, provides the conveniences of a larger motorhome in a scaled-down version and at a lower price. The Class C is built on an automotive manufactured van frame with an attached cab section. Size: 20 to 28 feet. Average Price: $48,500. Price Range: from $39,000 to $67,000. Fifth Wheel Designed to be affixed and towed by a pickup equipped with special hitch in the truck bed, these two-level units can provide the greatest living of all towable RVs. Fifth-wheel travel trailers come equipped with all the comforts of home, and are perfectly adaptable for weekend getaways, family vacations and full-timing. Size: 21 to 40 feet. Average Price: $23,200. Price Range: from $12,000 to $97,000. Folding Camper A lightweight unit with sides that collaps for towing and storage, the folding camping trailer combines the experience of open-air tent camping with sleeping comforts, basic conveniences and weather protection found in other RVs. Size 15 to 23 feet (when opened). Average Price: $5,300. Price Range: Most available from $3,300 to $10,500. Park Model A unit built on a single chassis mounted on wheels designed to facilitate relocation from time to time but not intended to be towed on a regular basis. It may be connected to those utilities necessary for operation of installed fixtures and appliances. It has a gross floor area, including lofts, not exceeding 50m, when in the setup mode, and having a width greater than 2.6m in the transit mode. Toy Hauler The Sport Utility Trailer, or more commonly known as the Toy Hauler, is the newest RV on the market. These units feature sleeping/living quarters in the front and room in the back for hauling ATVs, motorcycles or other "toys" for use at another destination. The most popular toy haulers range in length from 26 to 27 feet and retail for $18,000 to $23,000. Travel Trailer A unit designed to be towed by a car, van or pickup by means of a bumper or frame hitch, the travel trailer provides all the comforts of home and is perfectly adaptable for weekend getaways, family vacations, and fulltiming. Truck Camper A unit loaded onto, or affixed to, the bed or chassis of a pickup, the truck camper is popular for backroad journeys, accessing remote locales and family recreational camping.
