The Winnebago Tribe operates under aconstitution consistent with the Indian Reorganization Act ofJune 18, 1934. The Tribal Council governs the Winnebago Tribe. The Tribal Council consists of a Chairman, Vice-Chairman,Secretary, Treasurer and nine additional Councilmen all of whomare elected by the tribal membership.
