Motor Coaches Depart From

Williams Transport Motor Coach Service - Frequently Asked Questions Frequently Asked Questions NOTE: Refunds cannot be given on uncanceled tickets. You can cancel/change reservations any time until 6 PM the day before your bus leaves. After that time, sales are finalized. Thank You! How Does the Electronic Ticket Work? The new system replaces conventional tickets by giving you a confirmation number, which you will receive by e-mail at least 24 hours before your motor coach departure. You must print this number out and bring it with you; a Student Conductor will collect it when you board the bus. What is a Student Conductor? As a Student Conductor, you are personally responsible for collecting confirmation numbers of the passengers on your motor coach. In exchange for fulfilling your responsibilities, your ticket will be free. We encourage you to volunteer if you are comfortable handling these responsibilities. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Student Conductors must arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of their motor coach 2. You will receive a list by e-mail of the names and confirmation numbers of all the passengers on your motor coach 3. Check-in with the Driver upon arrival 4. When students start to board, take their names and confirmation numbers down. These confirmation numbers are equivalent to tickets: Without a matching confirmation number, a passenger cannot board. 5. If there are any problems or you need assistance, talk with the Driver I Missed My Motor Coach Departure. What do I do? If you are returning to campus from Albany, please take the next motor coach to campus. The Motor Coach Service will not reimburse the cost of privately arranged transportation. If you are stuck at the Albany Airport and need to get back to campus, call Veteran's Taxi at (413) 663-8300. If you need to speak to someone at Williams College during a vacation period, please call Williams College Security at (413) 597-4444. Where Do The Motor Coaches Depart From On Campus? All coaches depart from the west side of Chapin Hall, across from the Frosh Quad. Where Exactly Do The Motor Coaches Travel? Albany Airport Departures will pick up and drop off students in front of the airport's Main Terminal. Updated! Due to regulations New York City Departures will now drop off and pick up students on West 31st Street in between 7th and 8th Avenue. (Not directly in front of MSG/Penn Station). Boston Departures will first drop off students at the corner of Causeway Street and Canal Street, which is directly outside of North Station. Students returning to campus from North Station will be picked up at this same location. Students continuing on to Logan Airport will be dropped off in front of the airline of their choice. All students returning from Logan Airport will be picked up in front of the American Airlines area of Terminal B. How Long Do The Motor Coaches Take? Our motor coach companies estimate the following travel times to/from Williams College: Albany Airport: 1 hour and 15 minutes New York City: 4 hours and 30 minutes Boston's North Station: 3 hours and 15 minutes Boston's Logan Airport: 3 hours and 30 Please Note: These are only estimates and may vary due to traffic and weather conditions. How Do I Purchase Tickets? An e-mail will be sent to all students about upcoming Motor Coach departures a few weeks before each break. Tickets can be purchased online through our Web site, http://motorcoach.williams.edu, and your E-Ticket confirmation will be sent to you by e-mail. Using term bill charge, you may purchase tickets until 6:00 PM the day before your departure. How Do I Pay For Tickets? Tickets may be purchased with cash, a check payable to Williams College, or a Term Bill charge. Where Can I Find A Service Schedule? At the beginning of the Fall Semester, the official Motor Coach Service Schedule for the year will be delivered to all SU Boxes. An online version of this schedule may be found at Motor Coach Web site: http://motorcoach.williams.edu What If I Miss The Ticket Reservation Deadline? Do not worry; with our new system you can still purchase tickets online, until the 6:00 PM deadline on the day prior to your motor coach's departure . After this deadline, tickets cannot be purchased as we have already submitted final ride counts to our operators. Can I Get A Refund? With our new E-Ticket system, tickets cannot be refunded . However, with the new system you may cancel your tickets until 6 PM the day before your departure. We cannot offer refunds after this point because final passenger counts must be delivered to the motor coach companies. What's The Weather Cancellation Policy? Cancellations due to weather will be at the sole discretion of the motor coach company, whose decision is final. This decision will be made and announced only at Chapin Hall. Please do not call to see if a coach will be delayed ; this decision will be made at the last possible moment. If departures are delayed, they will resume as soon as meteorologically possible. If you are unable to use your ticket because your motor coach is cancelled or delayed due to weather, you will receive a refund of the motor coach ticket price. How Early Do I Need To Be At My Airport? We strongly suggest arriving at your airport at least two hours prior to your scheduled departure, which means departing campus at least three hours and 15 minutes before your scheduled departure from Albany. The CC Motor Coach Service is not responsible for any costs due to missed flights or other connecting transportation. This includes, but is not limited to, cab fare, hotel rooms, meals, plane tickets, and incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of this service. Do The Motor Coaches Depart On Time? Motor Coaches departing Williamstown are strictly instructed to depart precisely on time . Students have planes to catch and they must get to their destination on time. We strongly urge arriving at Chapin Hall 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure from Williamstown. Motor Coaches returning to Williamstown are not under such stringent time pressure. If a large number of passengers are not on a motor coach at its scheduled departure time (drivers have exact passenger counts), the motor coach may wait a few minutes, at the driver's sole discretion. The last motor coach of the day usually waits longer than earlier ones. Who Should I Contact With Additional Questions? If your question is not answered here, please contact Chris Upjohn and Andy Jang by e-mailing them at motorcoach@wso.williams.edu . BUSINESS SUMMARY Home | Reservations | Rates & Models | Tours | About EagleRider | Locations | Shop EagleRider | Franchise Introduction F ounded in July 1992, EagleRider has since become the world's largest motorcycle rental and touring company that has defined a unique, high growth niche market for itself: Marketing the "American Dream" to destination minded vacationers, businessmen and motorcyclists. EagleRider provides a full service Harley-Davidson Motorcycle/powersport rental and tour resource that caters to international and domestic motorcycle enthusiasts and aficionados. Over 120,000 EagleRider customers have enjoyed the ultimate vacation adventure by touring the United States, Europe and Mexico on the "Rolls Royce" of the motorcycle world, the prestigious Harley-Davidson. EagleRider is more than just a vehicle rental agency; it is a recreation and tourist organization that is pioneering a new industry, motorcycle tourism. T oday, EagleRider , Inc. has already built a fleet of well over 2000 Harley-Davidson motorcycles out of its 35 worldwide rental facilities. In addition, EagleRider is the single largest purchaser of new model motorcycles from Harley-Davidson Motor Company. EagleRider offers the complete Harley-Davidson model line and other manufactures through a global marketing network of tour operators, travel agents, airlines and travel wholesalers. The Company is positioned for rapid growth by extending its domestic and international marketing reach to include new rental operations in high demand tourist destinations and metropolitan areas in North America, Europe and Australia. T he success of the company is due primarily to the targeted marketing concept underlying the business plan. After extensive market research, EagleRider has discovered success in tailoring a custom motorcycle/powersport rental and tour service to the new and emerging audience of middle class achievers. This market segment consists of people who are searching for reasonably priced adventure vacations that allow for exploration and discovery of a destination. This lucrative target market is looking for the new, the fun and exciting holiday. M ost of the world's vacationing population treats their annual respite not as three weeks at home relaxing, but as an opportunity to explore the world and to enjoy some of the culture not available to them at home. To them a vacation is not just a haphazard excursion a few miles from home. They plan their vacations in exquisite detail and they relish the opportunity for something new. Think of Malcolm Forbes touring China with friends on a fleet of Harleys! His group went to great expense to ship their favorite vehicles to China in order to tour an interesting destination in a way not possible with any other mode of travel. T hat same enthusiasm is shared by a large proportion of the world's population who regularly take "destination vacations" and business trips that offer the diversion of "mini vacations". Not only are there businessmen worldwide dedicated to Harley-Davidson motorcycles and to motorcycle touring, but the enthusiasm is shared by millions from all walks of life. These enthusiasts dream of the opportunity to tour the USA on their Harleys but, unlike Malcolm Forbes, find the logistics and costs prohibitive. EagleRider caters to this market segment, affording them the opportunity to experience an American vacation while experiencing the " American Dream ". Executive Management: C hris McIntyre, Jeff Brown, and Peter Wurmer, the executive management team of EagleRider and long time Harley-Davidson owners and enthusiasts, conceived the business as a natural extension of their own personal interests and marketing expertise. They invested more than ten years in the research of market potential, demographics, structure, and distribution. During this time they evaluated and planned all of the logistics and operational problems to be overcome, established and nurtured key strategic relationships for business development, and assembled a team of professional partners and managers experienced in all facets of the business: vacation vehicle rental operations, vehicle maintenance, vacation promotion and marketing, and legal resources. Marketing and Demographics: T he Company has developed an extensive marketing network of international and domestic tour operators, wholesalers, and business partners in the travel, entertainment and vacation service industry. These business partners are contractually committed to promote and market the EagleRider Harley-Davidson rental and tour programs. For this travel season, the Company is featured prominently in more than 650 different full color travel and vacation publications, amounting to over 50 million copies, which are distributed as promotional materials to tour operators, travel agents and adventure travel enthusiasts throughout the World. EagleRider ’s promotional infrastructure via the international tour operators and wholesale business partners are on an equivalent scale to car rental companies such as Hertz or Avis. Customer Demographics & Destinations: T he typical EagleRider customer is a 39 year old professional male who enjoys the outdoors and traveling the world. Destinations for EagleRider customers vary greatly but are generally focused around recognized tourist destinations that offer beautiful weather and a scenic setting for motorcycle touring. EagleRider customers usually plan routes that include national parks, historic trails, and famous metropolitan areas. Any city that maintains high tourist traffic and easy access to an international airport is likely to be a successful EagleRider business location. Company Growth Plans: G rowth plans for the Company include the expansion of corporate and franchise rental locations around the world. The EagleRider , Inc. business plan projects new store expansion to eventually top 500 rental showrooms that will be located in virtually every popular vacation destination in the world. To achieve EagleRider 's aggressive expansion goals, new business segments and profit centers will be implemented in most locations. Current profit centers include but are not limited to rentals, tours, motorcycles service, sales, parts, accessories, and clothing. The EagleRider Adventure Rental Program business segment expansion includes recreational rental vehicles such as Personal Watercraft, ATV, Off-Road Motorcycles (Dirt Bikes), Snowmobiles, and Motor Scooters. I n addition to its full line of late-model Harley-Davidson motorcycles, the Adventure Rental Program has recently been introduced in many EagleRider locations. EagleRider has also formed strategic alliances with companies such as Suntrek tours, Optims, Orbitz, Travelocity and many more. Already the world leader in motorcycle rentals, EagleRider plans to become the most recognized adventure and recreational & powersport rental and motorcycle tour company in the world.

RV Travel Family Vacation Easy on the Pocket Go RVing Search Reconnect with Family Cool For Kids Easy on the Pocket Freedom & Control Convenience & Comfort Lure of the Outdoors Retire In Style Meet RV Families/Testimonials Pursue Your Passions Print this Page Easy on the Pocket You shouldnt have to spend a lot on something called free time. RVs make economic sense. They allow you to do more while spending less. They provide unlimited options, even on a limited budget. Many RV models allow a family of four to save up to 70 percent on vacation costs over other forms of travel. Thats a calculation that takes into account RV ownership costs, including payments, insurance, maintenance, tires, registration and depreciation. Want to take your family of four to Orlando for a week? Traveling in a typical family motorhome will cost you 43 percent less than flying, renting a car, staying in a hotel and eating out. A trip to the Grand Canyon in a folding camping trailer will cost 52 percent less than driving and using hotels and restaurants. PKF Consulting, an international travel and tourism research firm, recentlyconducted a complete vacation cost analysis . The study found that family RV vacations are moreaffordable than travel by personal car, train, airline, or cruise ship. Not only do other forms of travel cost more, the outlay typically covers only one vacation. Not so with an RV. Its ready to go again whenever you are. It all adds up. RVing gives you the most for your vacation dollars. To fly with the kids would be well over $1,000, and when you factor in expensesfor hotels, renting a car, and eating out all the time, it really adds up. - RVowner Andrea Hyland of Long Island, N.Y. For the vast majority of RV buyers, the interest on their motorhome or towableunit is deductible at tax time because it qualifies as a second home. - David J.Humphreys, president of Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) For information on RV payment plans and tax benefits, click here . ©2005 Go RVing, Inc.
