Proper disposal If you have used motor oil you'd like to recycle, there are nearly 100 locations in King County that will recycle it for you. Here is a list of motor oil recycling sites . Seattle residents can also take used (not contaminated) oil to the north or south transfer stations (see link below). The Seattle haz sheds take contaminated oil (mixed with water, antifreeze etc.). They will also take used oil if bringing other household hazardous waste (see links below). King County residents: The Factoria Locker and wastemobile will take both used and contaminated oil - 30 gallon limit (see links below). For the Seattle facilities and the King County Wastemobile, there is a 30 gallon gasoline limit, and pre-approval is required for large quantities (over 50 gallons), containers over 5 gallons in size, and any unusual wastes.
