Unfortunately it's not exactly that easy during the Oktoberfest because campers are not permitted on the Theresienwiese fairgrounds during this time. The police control the grounds around the clock and will hand out fines to those who do not belong there. But don't worry; no camper will get the short end of the stick in Munich! From September 20th until October 5th part of the surface area at the trade fair grounds in Munich-Riem can be used as a parking area for motor homes. Sanitary facilities are also available! The Oktoberfest is within a 30-minute ride with the U-Bahn from the trade fair grounds. The U-Bahn runs every 10 minutes. Alternative: the guarded parking area for motor homes on the Siegenburger/Garmischer Strae. From this area one can reach the Wiesn within 30 minutes by foot. Visitors can also take the bus line 31 or 33 and the U-Bahn (to Heimeranplatz and U4/U5 to Theresienwiese). The series spotlights American companies producing classic American products such as Coca-Cola, Jeep, Hawaiian Tropic, Wilson Sporting Goods and 3M. Fleetwood RV worked with Creative Differences, the series’ production company, to supply two Class A diesel motor homes, a 2006 Expedition 37U and Providence 39C. The motor homes served as traveling “living spaces” for the host, John Ratzenberger, and the film crew, making their extensive travel time more enjoyable and comfortable. The 2006 Expedition and Providence are part of Fleetwood RV’s 2006 line of Class A diesel motor homes. Designed to maximize function and space, they offer quality and comfort while maintaining style. Each unit’s sturdy construction and top-of-the-line amenities include a fully-functional kitchen, stylish bedroom and deluxe entertainment center incentives, which make them ideal for traveling for long periods of time. “Fleetwood RV is very pleased to participate in a reputable series like John Ratzenberger’s Made in America,” said Chris Braun, Executive Vice President of Fleetwood RV. “The show provides an ideal platform to showcase the functionality and style of Fleetwood RV products and to introduce their versatility to a broad audience with an avid interest in traveling.” John Ratzenberger’s Made in America airs on the Travel Channel Tuesday nights at 9 PM ET/PT. The series’ third season began airing on December 6, 2005. Ratzenberger finished the segment by driving a finished Pace Arrow motor home right off the assembly line.
