RV Campground. Proper wristbands
RV Camping Rules Box Office On Campus RV Camping Regulations The campground will have a Lot 1 campground host and a Lot 2 campground host for convenience to the campers. Individuals must have: • Parking sticker for either RV Lot 1 or RV Lot 2 • Everyone must have festival tickets upon check-in at the RV Campground. Proper wristbands will be issued for each person occupying the RV; 4-day wristband or assigned seat wristbands. Campground host will exchange ticket for the wristband at RV check-in. RV Rules and Regulations: • Tents Prohibited. • Entrance to the on-campus RV campground is from Hwy. 268 West onto Meadowview Drive (go up hill). Do not enter the main festival entrance on Collegiate Drive. Hosts will be at the entrance to the Lot 1 campground and will handle check-in for both Lot 1 and Lot 2. The attendant on duty will assist with parking of campers. • Camping area opens at noon on Monday prior to the festival and closes at noon the Monday following the festival. No RVs are allowed to line up on Meadowview drive prior to noon. Please note the new check in procedure. • Only Pete Wernick “Jam Campers” will be allowed in the camping area prior to Monday at noon. Contact Christie Hutchens (336-838-6292) by Friday, April 21 at 5:00 p.m. to make arrangements for early entry. • On-campus RV parking sticker must be affixed to the windshield on driver’s side. • Camping space is limited. Spaces are available to 4-day ticket holders on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. No RV space will be held by “any object” other than an RV. • Please arrive with your group if you plan to camp beside each other. The host cannot guarantee site selection. No spaces will be held. • There is a limited number of handicap RV camping available. • Campers will be parked parallel for easy access. • A second vehicle is allowed only if two spaces are rented or if the vehicle is pulling the RV. • A vehicle towed by a camper will be parked at the blue lot on Hwy 268. • Patrons with a Red Lot and Pink Lot parking pass will be allowed to drive freely in and out of the RV area to access their RV. However, such vehicles may not park in the RV area permanently unless a second RV spot has been purchased for that purpose. The vehicle must be parked in either the Red or Pink Lots. • Awnings are allowed only if two spaces are rented. • RVs must be self-contained units with hard-shell exteriors. Pop-ups are allowed but no tents. • There are no electrical, sewer, or water hookups. Dump station, water station, and porta-johns will be available. • Pay phones are located on the lower campus near the tennis courts. • Please observe campus speed limit. • Drugs, alcoholic beverages, and animals are prohibited. No glass containers allowed on the festival grounds. • Disorderly conduct is not allowed. • Firearms, fireworks or open fires are not permitted. • Talking, singing, radios, televisions, etc. must be kept at a volume that will not disturb other guests. • Campers are asked that generators be quiet as possible and be off for “quieter” time from midnight until 7:00 a.m. • Children should be supervised at all times. • Display of items for sale in campsites is not allowed at any time. • Please put trash in properly labeled containers. • Coolers and backpacks will be checked at the campground entrance for festival entry. • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time. • Wilkes Community College Endowment Corporation is not held responsible or liable for accidents, loss, or theft occurring in the RV camping area at MerleFest. • The Wilkesboro Fire Inspector requests that all RV campers have a fire extinguisher in case of any emergencies. RV CAMPING NOTICE NEW FOR 2006 For 2006 we would like to introduce a new RV check in procedure for festival Monday. We hope this will make the check-in process easier on everyone and we appreciate your feedback. Please note the details below: Monday, April 24, 2006 9:00 am – 2:00 pm • RVs should go directly to the River’s Edge (Blue Lot) parking area off 268. • RVs will be lined up in the order they arrive and be given a number. • At 12 noon, small groups will be allowed to proceed to the campground area to check in and park. As groups complete checking in, the next group will be sent to the RV lot(s). NOTE: This is to prevent traffic from blocking Meadowview Drive, a state maintained street. Any RV without a number will be asked to wait until everyone else has checked in or proceed to River’s Edge (Blue Lot) to follow the process. After 2 pm, RV campers may proceed directly to the RV campground.
